A few notes before you go
What to Pack

The Wedding Attire
The dress code for the wedding celebration on Saturday is festive cocktail. The other days do not have a dress code.
Our wedding theme is herald of spring, since we're welcoming in spring at midnight during the wedding. If you would like to lean into that, anything fresh and colourful fits right in. We've put together a small Pinterest board with some outfit inspiration, colours, fabrics, and styles, if you'd like any ideas.
If you'd like to wear a kilt for the day, we're happy to help arrange hire. Just let us know and we'll sort out the details together.
Please don't feel obliged to wear colours in the dress code or to purchase something new, we'd just love to see you in whatever makes you feel good.
Note that March can turn cold quickly, so we strongly recommend bringing a wrap, shawl, cardigan, knitwear, jacket or a combination of these along.
A note on footwear: It will likely be cold and there is gravel and grass to navigate at the wedding venue. We strongly advise wearing boots or block heels for your comfort and safety.

The hike
March in Scotland can still bring snow, so come prepared for the cold. Pack warm layers, a proper waterproof coat, and the usual extras like gloves, a scarf, etc.
UK plugs differ from mainland Europe, so bring an adapter!
You'll need a valid passport and a UK ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) to enter Scotland. Your ETA is linked to your passport, so a new passport means you need a new ETA, as the old one becomes invalid.
If you plan on joining the hike, we strongly recommend to bring hiking boots. The hike is about 7.5 km on uneven, rocky terrain with 300m elevation gain.
