Our Stay
Scotland and the Borders
We're tying the knot in Scotland, in a quiet corner just south of Edinburgh called the Scottish Borders. It's rolling hills, old woodland, and proper countryside, a bit different from the Highlands most people picture when they think of Scotland.
Wedderlie House
We fell in love with Wedderlie House the moment we saw it. It's a 16th century house on a private estate, and for our wedding weekend, the whole place is just for us, no other events running alongside ours. We really wanted the wedding to feel like a proper weekend together rather than a few rushed hours.
Accommodation
There isn't much else nearby in terms of accommodation, so we've arranged rooms for everyone right on the estate from Thursday 18th to Sunday 21st of March.
It's €200 per person for the whole stay, and that covers all your meals! On Thursday evening, you also have the option to head into town, try somewhere local, or join our masters of ceremony Joep and Emma with a quick meal at Wedderlie!

In the RSVP, you have the option to share your food preferences with us.
In general we'll have plenty of food, but if you're set on a specific brand, it might be best to bring your own.

Local spots
For eating out, try the tearoom in Duns, the Allanton Inn, or Firebrick Bakery in Lauder. The closest supermarkets are the Coop in Duns and Morrisons in Earlston, both about a 20 minute drive.

Thursday evening is free to explore on your own, as Rory and Janne will have a family meal. You're also welcome to join the masters of ceremony for a simple meal in the main house. Please let us know in the RSVP if you'd like to join.
